Super Smash Bros. Controls

Analog stick: Makes you move around
Double tap: Running - If you tap left left, or right right, your character will run
A: Normal attack - Punching and kicking
B: Special attack - the signature moves of your character
Note - by moving the analogue stick left, right, down or up then pressing A or B, you can produce different attacks.
C buttons: Jump - Yep they all do the same thing!
Up (analogue stick): Jump
Down (analogue stick): If you are in midair it will make you fall to the ground quicker.
Up + B: Super Jump - If you are falling off the side of a stage or need an extra push try this combination to jump higher. You usually jump normally twice before doing this.
Z Button: Defend - A red orb will protect you from recieving damage
Z + Forward: Roll - Roll in the direction you're facing and turn around
Z + A or R: Grab/Chuck - Allows you to grab your opponent if you are close enough. This button combination also lets you throw away any item you may be holding at that time. Pressing this while holding a direction lets you chuck the item at an opponent for damage
L Button: Taunt - taunt your opponent (not very helpful)
